Description

Mechanism of Action of Drugs:-
Chlorpheniramine Maleate basically tames the allergy symptoms by attaching to histamine receptors. Histamines are responsible for allergic and inflammatory reactions. Here, Chlorpheniramine Maleate blocks the action of the endogenous histamine, by reducing the negative symptoms brought on by histamine.
Dextromethorphan acts centrally on the cough center in the medulla thereby suppressing the cough.
Phenylephrine is a vasoconstrictor and nasal decongestant therefore, it helps to relieve symptoms of a stuffy or clogged nose.
