Description

Mechanism of Action of Drugs: With its bactericidal property, Amoxicillin inhibits the cell wall synthesis in bacteria thus resulting in bacterial death.
Beta-lactamases are enzymes produced in bacteria which protect themselves from the action of antibiotics. Here, Clavulanic Acid acts by destroying or inhibiting this beta-lactamase therefore reducing the antibiotic activity of the bacteria and allows any external antibiotic sources to work.
